SEMA is also an active member of the British Materials Handling Federation (BMHF) and represents the British National committee within the European Racking Federation (ERF), a federation of racking, shelving and storage equipment manufacturers associations across Europe which seeks to establish common policies. The SafeContractor scheme provides a health and safety audit service for contractors who want to reassure their clients that health and safety is being handled correctly and sufficiently on their sites.
